We are trialing hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) in one of our refuse vehicles. HVO fuel is made from fossil free, sustainable waste materials and it is therefore hoped this will reduce our carbon emissions and contribute to more sustainable transport. The fuel produces 88% CO2 emissions than diesel and requires no modification to the existing diesel engine.
